Discover answers to our most commonly asked questions.

We are here to help and answer any questions you may have. Foundation Pelvic Therapy even offers a free discovery call with the therapist to see if this is the right fit for your needs.

What is pelvic therapy?

Your pelvic floor and core muscles act as the foundation for the rest of the body. If these parts are not functioning at an optimum level, the rest of the body suffers.  Pelvic therapy is a specialized area of rehabilitation services that provides evaluation and treatment of the muscles, ligaments and fascia of the pelvic floor. In order to evaluate the pelvic floor, your therapist may recommend transvaginal and/or transrectal assessment. Your therapist will perform a thorough physical assessment and explain the benefits of this type of exam during your evaluation.

Do you only work with patients who have pelvic floor dysfunction?

At Foundation Pelvic Therapy we also support patients who have been struggling with other orthopedic issues, like low back pain, sacroiliac pain and hip pain.

We also offer wellness services for people looking to progress or maintain their level of function. For additional information, please contact info@foundationpelvictherapy.com.

How does concierge service work?

You have the opportunity to choose where you would like to have services. The therapist can come to your home, saving you time from having to drive to an appointment.

While we may need some time in private, most sessions can be completed with littles present, so you don’t have to coordinate for a sitter.

You also have the option to come to the therapist’s home, if additional exercise equipment is needed or you feel like a different environment would be helpful.

You will receive a home exercise program and you have full access to your therapist via secure messaging through our online patient portal.

Do I need special equipment?

You may want to have a yoga mat, but no special equipment is required. We will work with things you already have around the house to make sure the program fits your lifestyle.
